There’s no city in the world whose nickname “Cidade Maravilhosa” (Marvellous City) is more deserved than Rio de Janeiro !

Rio de Janeiro is an amazing city and its wonderful landscapes are an attraction for tourists from all over the world. The small hills overhanging the ocean create an outstanding scenery. We advise a stroll along Copacabana and Ipanema to realize the importance of the beaches in Brazil. With its 4 kilometers long, the beahc of Copacabana is an incredible sight by itself with sportmen, souvenir sellers, artists and smiling cariocas.

The tropical climate in Rio makes a visit possible all year round but there are 2 key moments in the carioca life : the New Year Eve with its fireworks illuminating the Corcovado, then the Carnival in February. If the Flamengo football reahc the final in the Maracana stadium, then this is a great time too !

If you go further the pictures of carnival and beaches, Rio de Janeiro is a pleasant town. The districts of Santa Teras, Lapa or Leblon attract night owls for some memorable festive evenings. For an unforgettable experience : reach one of the upper panoramas or go onboard an helicopter and have a top view of the beautiful beaches, the ocean, the Christ and the Sugarloaf !
